Carrie Turner of the Unwind Staff will teach you everything you need to know to make your first beautiful sweater, or to level up your current sweater game. We'll use the Vibes Tee by Tif Nielan and your choice of fingering weight yarn to launch your sweater-making journey.  Have your lightweight tee ready in time for late summer; it's also a great layering piece for fall.

Sweater options are available to make it your own; this garment can be knit as a one-color option all the way through an 8 color option!  Use two skeins of variegated yarn and learn helical knitting for an all-over cohesive look.  Use three colors from your shawl leftovers plus one full skein for a four color look.  Use a mini skein collection with one or two full skeins to create a cohesive color story for a multi-color garment.  The color play options are so much fun and the fit is so great, you’ll want to make more than one--and we'll help you throughout!

Other modifications you can make to suit your style:

  • Body length

  • Sleeve length

  • Bust darts

  • Custom shaping to fit YOU!!

We are offering this class in 8 two hour sessions; choose the sessions you most need or purchase the whole package. FYI--á la carte classes like Ravelry 101, gauge, short rows, and finishing techniques are great skill builders for everyone, whether or not you want to make a sweater!

Loved the Class

I have been knitting sweaters for several years now, but I learned so much from my previous class with Carrie about making sweaters fit my body better that I really wanted to take another class to see what else she could teach me. I am very much looking forward to this new class.
