Carrie Turner, Unwind Teacher Extraordinare, will teach you everything you need to know to make your first beautiful sweater, or to level up your current sweater game!

We will be making the Lento Sweater by Jonna Hietala (publisher of Laine Magazine) and your choice of DK weight yarn to launch your sweater making journey.  You will leave this class with a garment you'll love to wear, and the confidence to tackle your next garment project.  

We are offering this class at two different times in 7 two hour sessions; each class period limited to 6 students. Classes are in person only.

Yarn and pattern are not included and should be purchased separately.  

Class dates and topics include:

Sunday, January 4th: yarn selection and swatch making

Sunday, January 11th: how to understand your pattern; working with your gauge; casting on and joining in the round; provisional cast-ons versus regular

Sunday, January 18th: all about short rows; using markers for easy raglan increasing; how to make your sweater fit!

Sunday, January 25th: how to make your sweater fit (continued from previous week); dividing for sleeves

Sunday, February 1st : working the body; fit checks; modifications

Sunday, February 8th: all things sleeves

Sunday, February 15th: finishing techniques; how to block your garment

All classes will be held on the designated dates,
Sundays from 10am-Noon OR 12:30pm-2:30pm (choose one time).
